Fernando and the Sound is the creative musical outlet for Long Beach, CA based artist Fernando Gallegos.
His music is filled with haunting ideas and silhouettes of lived lives and the human experience. Growing up in a Mexican household with Spanish versions of Beatles and 60's pop rock was a blessing in disguise as it allowed different rhythms and syncopations to seep into his music. Not only musically but lyrically.
Imagine growing up with "Yesterday" as a Spanish ballad then realizing that it was from a British band from decades past, what a great way to dive into and search for "the sound" that would evoke the yearning for musical life.
Undefined and raw, Fernando and the Sound hope to capture a sliver of musical time and present it to the world as the sun rising above the morning dew.

Fernando and the Sound opted to use the illustration that Alixandra IG: @PortalEyeDesigns created as a Father's Day gift as the basis of the new album "Miles Below the Sun" and the merchandise associated with the album (released July 1, 2020)
It captured the essence of what Fernando and the Sound was created to be - an amalgamation of the artist and the musician
